Puneet Chandra is an accomplished executive leader renowned for his distinctive blend of business acumen and technological expertise in fast-paced, highly regulated financial and technology institutions. With a proven track record managing extensive portfolios, Puneet has successfully spearheaded innovative solutions through transformative product and technology initiatives, consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences, cultivating high-performing teams, and driving profitable growth.
In his most recent role as the CIO of Branch Systems & Transformation Technology at Wells Fargo, Puneet led the strategic vision and execution of comprehensive technology solutions supporting the bank’s expansive branch operations, encompassing over 4,300 branches and 11,000 ATMs. His tenure at Wells Fargo includes significant senior leadership roles, notably as Head of Product and Digital Innovation and CIO, Wells Fargo Auto Lending. In these capacities, Puneet championed agile adoption, implemented site reliability engineering practices, and executed modernization initiatives to enhance customer-centric service delivery.
Puneet’s career also spans key roles at GE Capital, where he directed digital innovation for a portfolio valued at $3 billion, and senior leadership responsibilities at Synchrony Finance. Committed to lifelong learning, Puneet earned an MBA from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Delhi. His dedication to professional development is further highlighted by completing GE’s Leadership Development Program, earning Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and certifications in Agile methodologies.
